THE BANK ROBBERIES
Four months after amalgamation of the Toronto and Dominion Banks, the branch experienced its first bank robbery. The staff, bound' hand and foot and blindfolded, waited two hours before being rescued, . After the bank robbery, a very strict news blackout was enforced, but that didn't prevent reporters from as far away as Toronto from coming to Marmora to get a story for their pages.
